Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance

Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance is designed to introduce students to the Islamic banking and financial system which are now among the fastest-growing segments of global financial services. This program provides knowledge and skills in Fiqh Muamalat, Economics from the Islamic Perspective, Takaful, Risk Management in Islamic Banking, Islamic Investment, Islamic Banking Products, And Services, Accounting for Islamic Financial institutions, Islamic Trade Finance, Credit Management, Islamic Financial System, Corporate Governance in Islamic Financial Institutions.

This program also exposes the students to the operational aspect of Islamic banking institutions and how they can fulfill the financing requirements of the customers as well as the investment. Moreover, the concept and application of Islamic products are also adequately covered.

In addition to the program, the students are also taught Business Mathematics, Business Finance, Computer Application, Principles of Marketing, Statistics, Entrepreneurship, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Project, and Fundamentals of Accounting to enhance their knowledge and competency in communication and other aspects of soft skills. As the program emphasizes self-initiated learning and hands-on competency, graduates of this program will be ready to take up the challenges and competitions present in the Islamic banking world.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Malaysian Citizen
  • SPM or equivalent with a minimum comply with the following requirements:
    • Pass Malay 
    • Pass English 
    • Pass History
    • Pass Mathematics or Additional Mathematics
    • Obtained 5 credits in any subjects not yet taken into account
