The library, which has a floor space of 2854 square meters, opened in July 1999. The library can accommodate up to 800 users at a time in this area. The PSP Library's goal is to ensure that the services it provides are of high quality in terms of helping learning, teaching, and research initiatives. The library's collection contains 52,000 items, which include books, magazines, journals, annual reports, and other materials. The PSP library employs the KOHA system, which was originally implemented on August 2, 2010.

Seberang Perai Polytechnic has been allocated RM 3.13 million under the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (RMK 11) for the Existing Library Upgrading Project, which will result in an additional user capacity of 200 people and the modernization of facilities such as seminar rooms and library security systems using RFID technology.
