INTRODUCTION
The Department of Sports, Co-curriculum and Culture (JSKK) is generally responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring sports, co-curriculum and cultural activities involving Seberang Perai Polytechnic (PSP).
In particular, JSKK role is to complement the balanced academic excellence of students in the aspect of holistic personality and identity development in line with the vision and mission of Polytechnic Malaysia.
JSKK also manages equipment requirements and ensures that all facilities and amenities are at a good level in providing quality services.
In addition, JSKK is entrusted to administer and manage all sports, recreational, co-curriculum and cultural activities to all PSP staff, whether students or staff.
Led by a Head of Department, Mr. Muhamad Noor Bin Abu Hassan and assisted by 4 officers for the Sports Unit, Co-Curriculum Unit and Culture and Heritage Unit and assisted by an Operations Assistant, Noorlina Binti Sayed Sultan.

VISION

- Cultivation and development of Sports, Co-Curriculum and Culture among the Seberang Perai Polytechnic community.
- Continuous development of talent to achieve a more outstanding and superior level of achievement.
- Provide adequate, comfortable and safe Sports, Co-Curriculum and Cultural facilities and amenities.
- Foster healthy relationships and good interaction between students and staff through Sports, Co-Curriculum and Cultural activities.
SPORT UNIT
The Sports Unit is led by Mr. Abdul Majid bin Udin, Head of Courses, and Mrs. Mazlina Binti Maming, Youth and Sports Officer.
This unit’s three main tasks are Athlete Preparation, Athlete Development, Facilities Management, and Coaches and Co-coordinators Development.
It is also involved in the tasks such as planning, managing, and implementing sports development activities for all the PSP students and staff.
In addition, it also functions to ensure balanced excellence in the aspects of intellect, physical education, character development, talent, and also healthy lifestyle.
The unit also manages the facilities management such as bookings, storage, and also maintenance.
It also ensures that students and staff have enough equipment to get involved in the development of interest, talent, skills, and abilities.
CO-CURRICULUM UNIT
The Co-curriculum Unit is led by the Head of Co-Curriculum Courses which is Mr. Mohd Kamal Bin Mat Desa is responsible for ensuring that all co-curriculum programs are implemented smoothly and effectively.
In general, co-curriculum is a compulsory course for all students in semesters 1 and 2 with a value of 1 credit hour for semester 1 and 1 credit hour for semester 2. There are two route options that students have to choose either Route 1 (Sports and Clubs) and Route 2 (Uniform Units).
These modules expose students to various aspects of basic individual and group skills. Continuous assessment of students is made in the form of practical and theoretical to meet the requirements of the latest syllabus.
CULTURE AND HERITAGE UNIT
The Culture and Heritage Unit is led by the Head of the Cultural Unit, Mrs. Fazilatul Haida Binti Hidzir.
Under this unit, there are several cultural clubs including Kompang Club, Dikir Barat Club, Traditional Dance Club, Theater Club, Kolattam Club, and Band Club.
The involvement of students has been successfully carried throughout the Culture and Heritage Unit was established.
The Culture and Heritage Unit is also very active in assisting in the preservation and conservation of the country's culture and heritage.
This can be seen in the bi-annual program, Simposium Warisan Bangsa which is an exclusive program of PSP.
The dissemination of cultural knowledge and heritage is further strengthened by collaboration with NGOs, Persatuan Seni dan Budaya Warisan Melayu Jawi (Waris Alam).
PSP has signed a COC with Waris Alam to assist the PSP Culture and Heritage Unit in re-dignifying culture and heritage among the younger generation in general and to PSP students in particular.
