Program Synopsis
The Diploma in Accounting is specifically designed to equip students with knowledge, skills and experience through integrated education in areas such as accounting, finance, auditing, taxation, cost accounting and also knowledge in the fields of management, information technology, entrepreneurship and self-development. Students are not only taught the basic theories of finance and accounting, but they are also given exposure to real-life experience through industrial training programmes. The aim of this programme is not only to produce graduates who have the skills to manage and record finances but also graduates who are entrepreneurially minded. Each course built in this programme is in accordance with the standards set by professional accounting bodies in Malaysia such as the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), IAS, MFRS, MQA and IFAC. This programme is led by lecturers who are not only experienced in the field of education but also in the field of finance and management. Apart from working in the field of accounting, graduates of this programme have the opportunity to further their studies at higher learning institutions and professional bodies such as ACCA.
